Plástico Brasil, the International Plastic Fair, recognizes the importance of sustainability in its initiatives. For us, sustainability represents a commitment to both the present and the future, highlighting our responsibility to promote an environmentally conscious, socially equitable, and economically viable world.
In the plastics sector, we face significant challenges regarding sustainability, including raw materials, recycling, carbon emissions, energy efficiency, waste generation, and the inclusion of professionals and technologies in the sector. However, we see these challenges as opportunities to innovate, seek efficient solutions, and promote more sustainable practices.
Plástico Brasil aims to be a platform to discuss and tackle these challenges, inspiring participants to adopt sustainable practices. By joining forces during events, we seek to strengthen a transformative movement in the industry, collectively building a sustainable future. We want the commitment of each participant not only as a response to current challenges but as a collective construction of a sustainable future.
Better Stands is a program by Informa Markets, the organizer of Plástico Brasil, aimed at achieving zero waste from stands by 2030. The initiative encourages exhibiting companies to abandon the use of disposable (single-use) stands and prioritize the use of reusable structures.
By making their stand designs sustainable, builders and exhibitors will be recognized with Gold, Silver, and Bronze seals on their stands during Plástico Brasil.
Designed for 2030, this final level incorporates all elements of the Bronze and Silver levels, adding graphics, decorative items, and flooring to ensure zero waste generation.
Scheduled to be achieved by 2027, this level, in addition to including all elements of the Bronze level, requires that all structural objects, front and overhead signage, ceiling, and display stands be reusable.
This level involves the construction of stands where components, including walls, floors, furniture, equipment, and lighting, are 100% reusable, to be achieved at all Informa Markets events by next year.
Participation in the Better Stands program benefits the entire events market. The most important benefit is that adopting reusable structures will drastically reduce waste generation and, consequently, the environmental impact of events.
